New co-op games in 2019 to play with your friends
Co-op has to be the most interesting aspect of gaming for me and I’m pretty sure that many of you will agree. We have all played a game in the past with a friend of ours or significant other and I’m pretty sure that we all remember those moments fondly. In an attempt to make more of memories like these, I’m going to give you some of the newest and hottest co-op games that you can play with your friends today!
Also, just a quick note that I’m not going to go into whether or not these games are absolutely great or not so good, I’ll leave that up to you to decide however, I’m not going to list any of the games that I considered to be technically flawed or plainly broken so everything on this list is considered to be playable and somewhat enjoyable.
World War Z
When we think of World War Z we think of Left for Dead wears on these are not individual enemies but more of a community. Zombies in the game act as waves, as the horde that’s trying to bring you down by its overwhelming numbers. It is absolutely easy to take down the zombie in this game, it can be done by everybody but that’s not really gonna do you any good because for every zombie that you take, 10 or even 20 more will take its place because zombies simply don’t stop in World War Z.
You will have to work together or die together while you try to outrun and of course outsmart the zombie horde actively seeking to feast on your brains.
The one thing that you should be aware of is that you cannot play this game locally even though I can hardly imagine people playing games locally anymore, but it’s just a fair statement, a little heads up for me if you were planning to play this at a LAN party or something.
Personally, I love this game. It has been inspired by Dark Souls, that’s clear from the moment when you first lay your eyes on it which means that this game will not be for everybody. It is difficult, like very difficult despite the file that you cannot die in this game but, the consequences for “losing the battle”or even more dire in this one from the videogame standpoints.
When you die, you will respawn at a different place as the same character but, there will always be some consequences like losing items or suffering some injuries and stuff like that.
This game can be played locally and online with a friend and you can completely interact with each other and play throughout the entire game together.
Some people like it, some don’t, many consider that it’s too hard and that is why and giving you a heads up and say that this is not a game for everybody. If you are a hard-core gamer, if you like overcoming challenges and feel good after a task well done, then this game is for you. If you like to take it easy, if you constantly save and load, if you go back to revisit the choices that you’ve made since you’re not happy with how things turned out, then just forget about this game, none of that will work here.
Risk of Rain 2
I’ve already mentioned this game in one of my other posts, but since this one is focusing on co-op, I have to re-include this particular title into this article as well. Once again, this is not a game for everybody. It is action heavy, chaotic and requires a lot of skill to go through because this particular game rewards risk-taking.
Basically, if you know about the first game, this is the same exact thing just mirrored in three dimensions but, I’m not saying that like it’s a bad thing because it’s absolutely fantastic.
This one is still in early access which means that the game development is happening as you are playing it, but don’t let that discourage you if you want to give it a go because for its asking price, you are getting so much content and to be honest, compared to some other games that have had an official release date, this one definitely doesn’t feel like an unfinished, early access game.
Far Cry New Dawn
Far Cry New Dawn is a new game set in the world of Far Cry 5. When I say in the world, literally mean that the entire map is the same exact map from FC5 just revisited and more than anything repainted.
This is a possible elliptic timeline that follows the events of the fifth installment of Far Cry which you can play throughout it’s entirety in co-op. As I’ve already mentioned, this is a colorful experience with a lot of guns, a lot of missions, a lot of Lynn to cover and a lot of things to do.
If you like first-person shooters that you can play with your friends where you can drop in and drop out as you please, give this game ago and you are most likely going to get bang for your buck if you do that.
Far Cry games are very popular and I believe that I do not have to go into too many details explaining exactly what this game is all about so I’ll just leave it at this.
